So, I went to the eye doctor over spring break, and sure enough, the source of my issues WAS a focusing problem. Except, rather than under-focusing, it turns out that my eyes are actually OVER-focusing. He set me up with some pretty nifty glasses to wear when doing close work, like typing or wallpapering, and they have helped me tremendously so far. There are still a few problems, but they aren't nearly as bad as they were before. I'll probably make a new journal sometime to explain what all is happening.

Even though my eyes are back in business, my schedule isn't being very forgiving. I have all sorts of work to do as my semester wraps up, but I'll try to at least finish up a few wallpapers I've started here and there, and if nothing else, I'm hellbent on doing a Shining Armor wallpaper as soon as a good out-of-uniform vector of him pops up.

Until then, here's a Princess Cadence to tide you over! Cadence is one of my favorite ponies, alicorn status notwithstanding. She was remarkably simple to finish (if her wing was open, I don't think that would be the case), and her colors were easy to work with. The eventual Shining Armor wallpaper will be aligned so they can be used on dual-screen setups, and I may make a special single-screen version in celebration of the royal wedding (but a good vector has to pop up first).

My hope is to get at least Fleur and Fancy Pants finished in the next week or so, but Fleur's coloration has proven problematic due to the lightness of her palette. I can still try, though.

It was a long time ago before I even joined dA. I use a DJ-pon3 minimalistic wallpaper right now.

It's a shame I have to resize these wallpapers and clean up the lines as the super-ancient monitor I use can only handle up to a 1024x768 resolution.
